West Africa : where will the regional hub be ?

Traffics between Europe and West Africa remain dominated by petroleum products but where containers have undergone a two figure growth in the last few years. Bolloré, the historic leader, is no longer alone in the market and this vitality has attracted other French companies and the big cargo handling Groups : DP World, APM Terminals notably. The region is still looking for a regional hub and the battle is in full swing between Lagos, Abidjan, Dakar, Pointe Noire. The new ports planned in Kribi (Cameroon) and Seme Bodji (Benin) could come to join the fray. Panorama
