Ghent : a visitors centre for the port

Wednesday 30 May 2012

The foundation stone of the Visitors Centre of the port of Ghent has been posed on Rigakaai, a symbolic place at the frontier between the city and the active port. It will open its doors in 2013. This sustainable building designed by Tetra architects studio will notably contain a multifunctional space, equipped with multi-media, enabling 100 persons to be received, and will provide views over the port. The Port of Ghent has also chosen to strengthen its communication with the public by programming a Port House, this time in the very centre of the city, which will open in 2014. A strategy which will be presented by Kate Verslype at the AIVP World Conference next June
