Brest : risks cause concern

Monday 27 February 2012

In Brest, the Plan for Prevention of Technological Risks (a compulsory plan since the AZF catastrophe of 2001) could concern 70 enterprises and lead certain of them to move. Indeed, if certain measures taken on two high risk enterprises have meant that the population concerned is no longer in a risk zone, the enterprises of the port and their employees remain exposed. Discussions are under way, notably in order to arrange activities such as ship repairs and the future marine energies zone.
